Displaying Newest Article On Website Homepage
Using the Cureo Article Widget you can display the most-current pubic article for your organization without ever having to update on your website.
- Feature your latest news directly on your website.
- Keep your homepage fresh.
- Delegate to Staff & Volunteers the process of updating without granting them web access.
- Drive traffic to your brand -- they know that is where to go to get the latest news.
Prerequisites:
Success Hint: Make sure the news is current by undertaking a process of publishing regularly.
Steps to Deploy:
- This widget can be deployed to always be the most current public article across all your channels, or you can limit to just a specific channel. Create / Identify the channel you want to use for the article widget.
- Add an article to a (the) channel (making them public in the wizard).
- Get the OID and CID for the channel.
The Article Widget requires you to have OID. If you leave CID as an empty string ("") the newest of all public articles for your organization will be returned to the widget. Put a CID in to limit the article to just a channel. Prepare the code by replacing the OID & CID to match yours. - Download sample file: text example | html example
- Deploy your code to your website, test and publish.
Note: The sample file sets the page-size to 1, which returns just the most current article. You can set this value higher if you'd like to display more than 1.
