Public Cureo Channels

A Cureo Public Channel is a collection of information that is intended to be shared publicly. Public information does not require a visitor to log in to Cureo to consume the content.

Channel and Organization admins can make channels public under the Channel Settings. Channel settings are accessed when creating a new channel or for an existing channel, click on the gear (⚙) next to the channel name.

Note: If all (or most) of this channel's content should be public, make sure you check Default new content to public. This will automatically make any new content you create in this channel public (you can deselect the option on any new content, as required).

Once you have created a public channel, this content can be used in a variety of ways:

  1. On the channel widget.
  2. Embedded on your website using the News, Event or Files Plugin (contact us for more information)
  3. Integrated with 3rd party tools or content sites via our public API
The Cureo platform provides many tools to present public data.  How you make use of them for your specific needs is entirely up to you.

EXAMPLE USES OF PUBLIC CHANNELS / CONTENT

  1. Create a public news feed for your website. Create and publish content to your users via email and the website with the click of a single button.  Empower users to provide content without risking your website.
  2. Create a schedule of events for part or all of your organization. Manage these in the familiar Cureo interface, and automatically make them available to the public.
  3. Segregate the information on your website into topical areas or interest groups.  Allow your team members to push updates to just that portion of the website without complex rights management.
  4. Feature your most current news release on your main website page.   As you publish new releases, this one will automatically update. Keep your site fresh without additional work.
  5. Share important files contextually on your site. Always know your website links match your Cureo links.
