Self Registration Widget

Create an Email Signup Form in 4 Simple Steps

Cureo automatically creates signup forms for your channels and they can be embedded on any page of your website. This can be used in a number of ways, from signing up for your organization's newsletter, to receive updates about a particular initiative, or even to indicate interest in participation on a new collaborative effort.

Step 1: Create a channel

First, you need to designate a channel to use as your signup list. You can do this by creating a new channel, or you can edit one that already exists. You can access channel settings by clicking the gear (⚙) next to the channel name.

Step 2: Edit channel settings

If your channel is only to be used as a mailing list or for sharing information, we recommend you select "View Only" as the default permission level for members  and leave " Allow View Only members to see all members"  unchecked . This ensures users do not have the ability to see the names or profiles of other members of that channel if they happen to log in to application.

In order to embed the signup form on your website, you need to check the box to " Enable Self-Registration to this channel."

Your channel settings should look something like this:

Step 3: Personalize your signup form

Once you press Save you should see a screen for Self-Registration Settings.

Title: What is the user signing up for? Some examples might be "Sign up to join our mailing list" or "Sign up to receive updates on hunger in our community."

Description: If you want your sign up to have additional information for the user, you can put that here. This will be visible on your form. An example might be "Join our mailing list and we will send you updates, event dates, and information from time to time."

Once you have completed these settings click Save.

Step 4: Add the signup form to your site

After you click Save, your form is ready to post on your website! Click Copy to Clipboard to grab the code below your settings. Paste the code into your website's HTML where you want the form to appear.

And that's it!

We've added an email signup directly to your website.

Once it's on your website, it should look something like this:
